On August 5, Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 will be performed at the Forum Brixen - an emotional spectacle with soloists and orchestra under the direction of conductors such as Dirk Kaftan. On August 16, Rossini’s gripping Stabat Mater follows in the Collegiate Church of Neustift - performed by first-class vocal ensembles with soprano and bass. And on August 24, the Ensemble VocalArt and the Amarida Orchestra will present works by Haydn & Co. in the parish church of Vintl - a musical treat in a beautiful church setting.
Music, culture and enjoyment combine to create special summer evenings in the middle of Bressanone’s historic alleyways. On August 3, the courtyard of the Hofburg opens its doors for Urban Brass, an energetic concert with trumpet sounds and jazzy rhythms. The Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento will follow on August 9, delighting its audience with a varied selection of music ranging from Morricone film music to classical works. The highlight of the culinary-music fusion is Dine, Wine & Music on August 6: live bands play in front of the cathedral accompanied by fine South Tyrolean wines and regional delicacies.
These open-air events ensure magical summer evenings and communal celebrations in the open air: every Wednesday from June 25 to September 10, the Brixen Wednesday Festival invites you to enjoy regional music with live bands, a folk atmosphere and culinary experiences. On 14 August, Summer Emotions offers atmospheric after-work evenings in the old town: a mix of DJs, bands, aperitifs and culinary delights. A little later in the month, on August 23, Brixen vibrates at Techno Tschumpus - a rousing open-air party where local DJs play electronic beats into the night.
